A tailoring heritage since 1927

Established in 1927 by Mr. Gulamhussain Alibhai as a modest tailoring workshop, Alibhai Store is the pioneering business and foundational cornerstone of the Alibhai Group.

Over nearly a century in Dar es Salaam, it has evolved from custom tailoring into a premier textile division importing premium-grade fabrics from global manufacturers for men’s and women’s suiting, trousers, shirting and institutional uniforms.

Plans for local weaving in Tanzania

Alibhai Store intends to establish a local weaving production line in Tanzania to produce authentic traditional Tanzanian tribal textiles and culturally significant heritage attire.
